Why we built Portfoliq
The Institutional Lens
Our CEO spent years at EY-Parthenon valuing real estate portfolios for Greystar, Cortland, and GE. At Brailsford & Dunlavey, he leads nine-figure capital planning initiatives for Georgia Tech, Emory, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, and other major institutions. He saw firsthand how structured frameworks transform portfolio decision-making — and how individual investors with 10, 20, or 50 properties have nothing comparable.
The Operator Proof
He didn't just observe the problem — he lived it. At Tucker Capital, he acquired a $9M multifamily portfolio, converted it to self-storage with an unmanned operating model, and exited at $12M. He reinvested into RV parks at $3M and exited at approximately $8M. He built a data-driven acquisition platform that generated $58K in its first year. This isn't theory — it's real capital deployed, operated, and returned.
